Indication
Used for the short-term relief of moderate pain that is not adequately controlled by non-opioid analgesics alone. The combination of paracetamol, caffeine, and codeine provides enhanced pain relief.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 400 mg
- Caffeine 62.5 mg
- Codeine phosphate 20 mg
Direction
Adults: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Not recommended for children under 18 years. Use for the shortest possible duration.
Side effects
- Drowsiness
- dizziness.
- Constipation
- nausea
- vomiting.
- Respiratory depression at high doses.
- Dependence and withdrawal with prolonged use.
Precautions
- Contains codeine — risk of dependence and misuse.
- Not recommended in children and adolescents under 18 years.
- Not for use in patients with respiratory depression
- asthma
- or severe hepatic impairment.
- Avoid alcohol and sedatives — risk of enhanced CNS depression.
- Do not take with other paracetamol
- containing products.
- Not for use during pregnancy without medical advice.
- Keep out of reach of children.
