CINOCORT Triamcinolone acetonide

Indication

A corticosteroid used topically for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and allergic reactions. Injected formulations are used for joint inflammation and allergic disorders.

Ingredients

• Triamcinolone acetonide

Direction

Topical: Apply a thin film to the affected area 2–3 times daily or as directed by a physician. Do not use under occlusive dressing without medical advice.

Side effects

• Local: skin thinning (atrophy)
• stretch marks
• burning
• irritation.
• With prolonged extensive use: systemic corticosteroid effects (adrenal suppression).
• Delayed wound healing.

Precautions

• Do not use on the face
• groin
• or axillae unless directed by a doctor.
• Not for use in infected skin without appropriate antimicrobial treatment.
• Prolonged use may cause skin atrophy
• striae
• and systemic corticosteroid effects.
• Do not use in children under 12 without medical supervision.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
