Indication

Short-term relief of anxiety symptoms, insomnia associated with anxiety, and sedation before surgery.

Ingredients

• Lorazepam 0.5 mg

Direction

Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Usual adult dose for anxiety is 1 to 4 mg daily in divided doses for 2 to 4 weeks; for anxiety-related insomnia, 1 to 2 mg at bedtime. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time and do not stop suddenly.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dizziness
• tiredness
• headache
• nausea or vomiting
• and constipation.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine (benzodiazepine)
• use only under a doctor's supervision.
• Can cause dependence
• do not stop suddenly
• as withdrawal symptoms may occur.
• Do not use if allergic to lorazepam or other benzodiazepines
• or with angle
• closure glaucoma
• myasthenia gravis
• severe breathing problems or sleep apnoea.
• Avoid alcohol and do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
• Tell your doctor about other medicines
• especially opioids
• not recommended during pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
