Indication

Prescription sleeping medicine for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults.

Ingredients

• Zolpidem tartrate 10 mg

Direction

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, as a single dose immediately before going to bed, only when you can have a full night's sleep (7 to 8 hours). Usual adult dose is 10 mg; elderly patients or those with liver problems usually take 5 mg. Do not take more than 10 mg a night. Treatment should be as short as possible and no longer than 4 weeks.

Side effects

• Common: drowsiness
• dizziness
• headache
• memory problems
• nausea
• diarrhoea.
• Seek medical help for allergic reactions
• confusion
• hallucinations or unusual behaviour.

• so do not stop suddenly after long use.
• Do not drink alcohol

• day drowsiness may occur
• so do not drive or operate machinery unless fully alert.
• Complex sleep behaviours such as sleep
• walking or sleep
• driving can occur
• stop and contact your doctor if they happen.
• Do not use with sleep apnoea
• myasthenia gravis
• severe liver disease or severe breathing problems.
• Ask a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
