Indication
Used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), and as a dietary supplement to support immune function and antioxidant protection.
Ingredients
- Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) 1000 mg
Direction
Adults: 1 effervescent tablet dissolved in a full glass of water once daily. Take after a meal.
Side effects
- At high doses: diarrhoea
- stomach cramps
- nausea.
- Rarely: kidney stone formation with prolonged high
- dose use.
Precautions
- Doses over 1 g/day may cause gastrointestinal disturbances.
- Use with caution in patients with a history of kidney stones.
- Use with caution in G6PD deficiency.
- Keep out of reach of children.
