Flemex 250mg + 5ml + 60ml

Indication

A mucolytic agent used to reduce the viscosity of respiratory secretions, facilitating their clearance. Used in productive cough associated with bronchitis, sinusitis, and other respiratory tract disorders.

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine 250 mg per 5 ml oral syrup (60 ml bottle)

Direction

Adults: 750 mg (15 ml) 3 times daily initially, then 375 mg (7.5 ml) 3 times daily. Children: dose by weight under medical direction. Take with or after food.

Side effects

• Nausea
• stomach upset
• diarrhoea.
• Rarely: skin rash
• gastrointestinal bleeding.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with active peptic ulcer (may disrupt gastric mucosa).
• Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
