CALTOUX Dextromethorphan

Indication

Used for the symptomatic relief of dry, irritating, and non-productive cough. Acts as a central cough suppressant.

Ingredients

• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide

Direction

Adults: As directed on the product label, typically 10–30 mg every 4–8 hours. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose. Not for children under 12 without medical advice.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• dizziness.
• Nausea
• stomach upset.
• Rarely: CNS effects at high doses.

Precautions

• Not for use in productive (wet) cough.
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors — risk of serotonin syndrome.
• Avoid alcohol.
• May cause drowsiness.
• Keep out of reach of children.
