Amdocal Plus 5 mg / 50 mg

Indication

Combination of a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine) and a beta-blocker (atenolol) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina when a single medicine is not enough.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine (as besilate) BP 5 mg
• Atenolol BP 50 mg

Direction

Take by mouth exactly as directed by the physician. Swallow whole with water.

• Swelling of ankles or feet
• Headache
• flushing
• dizziness
• Tiredness
• cold hands and feet
• slow heartbeat
• Dizziness
• sleep disturbance
• nausea

Precautions

• Do not use in asthma
• very slow heartbeat
• heart block or uncontrolled heart failure.
• Do not stop suddenly
• the dose should be reduced gradually under medical supervision.
• Do not use if allergic to amlodipine or other dihydropyridines.
• Use with caution in severe low blood pressure
• heart failure
• aortic stenosis and liver disease.
