Indication

Calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina (chest pain).

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate equivalent to amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Take by mouth exactly as directed by the physician. Swallow whole with water.

Side effects

• Swelling of ankles or feet
• Headache
• flushing
• dizziness
• Tiredness
• palpitations
• nausea

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to amlodipine or other dihydropyridines.
• Use with caution in severe low blood pressure
• heart failure
• aortic stenosis and liver disease.
• Ask a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• avoid grapefruit juice in large amounts.
