Bi Yan Jing 0.1% (1:1000) (10 ml)

Indication

Decongestant drops for catarrhal rhinitis and nasal congestion, and for ocular congestion (red eyes) and conjunctivitis.

Ingredients

• Naphazoline hydrochloride 10 mg per 10 ml (0.1%)

Direction

Nose: 1-3 drops each time, 3 times daily. Eyes: 1-2 drops each time, 2 times daily. Do not use too many drops; after 10 days of continuous use, stop for 2-3 days before continuing.

Side effects

• Temporary burning
• stinging or sneezing
• Rebound congestion with frequent or prolonged use
• Possible palpitations
• headache or raised blood pressure if overused

Precautions

• Do not use more than directed
• after 10 days of continuous use take a 2
• 3 day break
• Use with caution in heart disease
