Ecothrocin 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including upper and lower respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia), otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and uncomplicated genital infections due to Chlamydia trachomatis.

Ingredients

• Azithromycin (as dihydrate) 500 mg

Direction

As directed by a physician. Usual adult dose: 500 mg once daily for 3 days; for uncomplicated chlamydial infection, 1 g as a single dose.

• Headache or dizziness

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics
• Use with caution in liver disease or heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation)
