Primodil 10 mg

Indication

Calcium-channel blocker for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and for the prevention of chronic stable angina and vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine (as besilate) 10 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. Usual dose: 5 mg once daily, increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily according to response. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side effects

• Ankle or leg swelling (oedema)
• Headache
• flushing
• dizziness or tiredness
• Palpitations
• nausea or abdominal pain
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to amlodipine or other dihydropyridines
• or in severe low blood pressure
• shock or severe aortic stenosis
• Tell your doctor if you have heart failure or liver disease
• or are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Do not stop suddenly without medical advice
