Indication
Procold is a combination cold and flu remedy used to relieve symptoms of the common cold and influenza, including fever, headache, nasal congestion, and runny nose.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 500 mg
- Pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg
- Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg
Direction
Adults and children 12 years and over: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. Take with or without food.
Side effects
- Drowsiness or sedation (due to chlorpheniramine).
- Dry mouth
- nose
- or throat.
- Insomnia
- restlessness
- or palpitations (due to pseudoephedrine).
- Nausea or upset stomach.
- Urinary retention (in susceptible individuals).
Precautions
- Do not use with other products containing paracetamol to avoid overdose.
- Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney disease.
- Use with caution in patients with hypertension
- heart disease
- diabetes
- thyroid disorder
- or benign prostatic hypertrophy.
- Pseudoephedrine may cause insomnia or nervousness
- avoid use before bedtime.
- Chlorpheniramine may cause drowsiness
- do not drive or operate heavy machinery.
- Avoid alcohol during use.
- Not for use in children under 12 years without medical advice.
