Fungiban 150 mg

Indication

Azole antifungal for the treatment of fungal infections such as vaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection), oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis, and other Candida infections, as prescribed by a doctor.

Ingredients

• Fluconazole USP 150 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. For vaginal candidiasis the usual dose is a single 150 mg tablet taken by mouth, with or without food.

Side effects

• Headache
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• diarrhoea and indigestion.
• Skin rash
• rarely serious skin reactions or liver problems (stop use and seek medical help if yellowing of skin/eyes
• dark urine or severe rash occurs).
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to fluconazole or other azole antifungals.
• Tell your doctor about other medicines you take
• fluconazole interacts with many drugs (e.g. warfarin
• some statins
• certain heart
• rhythm medicines).
• Use with caution in liver or kidney disease or heart
• rhythm (QT) disorders.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
