Axprazol 0.5 mg

Indication

Benzodiazepine used for the short-term treatment of anxiety disorders and anxiety associated with depression, and for panic disorder, under medical supervision.

Ingredients

• Alprazolam 0.5 mg

Direction

Oral, exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Usual adult dose for anxiety: 0.25-0.5 mg three times a day, adjusted by the doctor (maximum usually 4 mg a day). Elderly or debilitated patients: start with 0.25 mg two to three times a day. Use for the shortest possible time and do not stop suddenly; the dose should be reduced gradually.

• slurred speech

• Dry mouth
• constipation
• changes in appetite
• Dependence and withdrawal symptoms (anxiety

Precautions

• Prescription
• only psychotropic medicine
• risk of dependence and abuse
• use for the shortest possible time
• Do not use in myasthenia gravis
• severe respiratory insufficiency
• sleep apnoea
• severe liver disease or acute narrow
• angle glaucoma
• Do not combine with alcohol
• opioids or other sedatives (risk of severe drowsiness and breathing problems)
• Causes drowsiness
• do not drive or operate machinery
• Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless the doctor decides otherwise
• Do not stop suddenly
• the dose must be reduced gradually
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
