Indication
Active vitamin B12 used for peripheral neuropathies such as diabetic, alcoholic or drug-induced neuropathy, neuralgia and numbness/tingling, and for vitamin B12 deficiency (including macrocytic anaemia).
Ingredients
- Methylcobalamin (mecobalamin) 1500 mcg
Direction
Adults: usually 1 tablet (1500 mcg) once daily by mouth, or as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow whole with water. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Side effects
- Occasional loss of appetite
- nausea
- vomiting or diarrhoea.
- Rarely skin rash or itching (hypersensitivity).
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if unsure
- stop use and seek advice if a rash or allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription medicine: use under medical supervision.
- Do not use if allergic to methylcobalamin or any ingredient.
- Do not take for months without benefit
- review with a doctor if no improvement.
