Tretinon Cream 0.05% (20 g)

Indication

Topical retinoid cream for the treatment of acne vulgaris in which comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules and pustules predominate.

Ingredients

• Tretinoin (retinoic acid) 0.5 mg per g (0.05%)

Direction

For external use only. Apply once daily to the affected areas, preferably at bedtime, after cleansing with soap and water. Allow the skin to dry before applying. Please refer to the enclosed leaflet for more details.

Side effects

• Redness
• peeling
• dryness
• stinging or a warm sensation of the skin
• especially in the first weeks
• Increased sensitivity to sunlight
• temporary worsening of acne or skin colour changes

• stop use and seek advice if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Tretinoin is teratogenic: pregnancy must be avoided during treatment and for at least 4 weeks after ending treatment

• Minimise sun exposure and use sunscreen
