Indication

Rapid qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to chikungunya virus in whole blood, serum or plasma, as an aid in the diagnosis of chikungunya infection (IgM indicates recent, IgG past infection).

Direction

For use by health professionals. Bring the kit to room temperature. Add the specified volume of whole blood, serum or plasma to the sample well, followed by the buffer as directed in the package insert. Read results within the time stated in the insert (typically 10–15 minutes). A control line must appear for the test to be valid.
