Econazine 1% / 0.1% (10 g)

Indication

Topical treatment of inflammatory dermatoses where infection by susceptible organisms co-exists, e.g. inflammatory fungal infections and infective eczema.

Ingredients

• Econazole nitrate 10 mg/g (1%)
• Triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg/g (0.1%)

Direction

Apply lightly over the affected area several times daily for 14 days, or as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Mild

• itching
• stinging or redness at the application site
• hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
• Prolonged use may cause corticosteroid effects such as skin thinning.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use for longer than directed
• on large areas or under occlusive dressings unless advised by a doctor.
