Xepa Hydrocortisone 1% (15 g)

Indication

Mild topical corticosteroid that relieves insect bites, rashes, allergies and itchy skin, including irritant and allergic contact dermatitis.

Ingredients

• Hydrocortisone 1% w/w
• Chlorocresol 0.12% w/w (preservative)

Direction

Apply as directed by a physician, usually a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily. Do not use continuously for more than 7 days without medical advice. See the enclosed leaflet for more information.

Side effects

• Local burning
• stinging
• itching
• irritation or redness at the application site.
• Prolonged use may cause skin thinning or other corticosteroid effects.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with eyes.
• Avoid use on broken skin or open wounds unless advised by a doctor.
• Do not use for long periods
• on large areas
• on the face or under occlusive dressings unless directed by a doctor.
• Do not use on viral skin infections such as herpes
• chickenpox or shingles
• or on skin tuberculosis.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy
• breastfeeding or in children.
• Keep out of reach of children.
