Strepsils 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg + Amylmetacresol 0.6mg

Indication

Strepsils lozenges are used for the symptomatic relief of sore throats, minor mouth infections, and mouth ulcers. They have antiseptic properties that help reduce bacteria and viruses in the throat.

• Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg

Direction

Adults and children 6 years and over: dissolve 1 lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2–3 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 lozenges in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Mild irritation or tingling in the mouth (usually transient).
• Allergic reactions such as rash or swelling are rare but possible.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 6 years of age.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days or worsen.
