Montiget 10 mg

Indication

Prevention and long-term treatment of asthma, prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis in adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older.

Ingredients

• Montelukast 10 mg (as montelukast sodium)

Direction

As directed by the physician; usually 1 tablet once daily, taken in the evening for asthma. See package insert for full prescribing information.

Side effects

• Headache
• abdominal pain or diarrhoea
• Upper respiratory infection
• fever or rash
• Mood or behaviour changes such as agitation
• sleep disturbances
• depression or suicidal thoughts
• stop and seek medical advice if these occur
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs

Precautions

• Not for relief of an acute asthma attack
• keep using rescue inhalers as prescribed
• Prescription medicine
• do not stop other asthma medicines without medical advice
