Indication

Sugar-free antacid suspension for therapy of gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, heartburn and gastric hyperacidity. Helps reduce symptoms related to gastric hyperacidity such as stomach upset, nausea, flatulence and heartburn.

Ingredients

• Aluminium hydroxide dried gel 600 mg
• Magnesium hydroxide 600 mg
• Simethicone 160 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 sachet (14 ml) 3 times a day; shake before use. Take immediately once symptoms occur and repeat 30-60 minutes before or after meals and before bedtime.

Side effects

• Constipation
• diarrhoea
• nausea or vomiting may occur
• symptoms disappear after stopping the medicine.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in severely debilitated patients
• renal insufficiency
• severe abdominal pain or possible bowel obstruction.
• Do not use in serious kidney failure (risk of hypermagnesaemia).
• Not recommended for more than 2 weeks unless advised by a physician.
• Antacids may reduce absorption of tetracycline
• cimetidine and other drugs
• keep a 1
• 2 hour gap.
• Not suitable for patients on a low
• phosphorus diet or for long
• term use.
