Phagel 20 mg / 582 mg / 196 mg per 10 ml

Indication

Antacid and antiulcer agent for acute and chronic gastric pain, gastritis, duodenal ulcer, oesophagitis, and stomach ache of dyspepsia, including dyspepsia during radiotherapy.

Ingredients

• Oxethazaine 20 mg
• Dried aluminium hydroxide gel 582 mg (as aluminium oxide 291 mg)
• Magnesium hydroxide 196 mg

Direction

Adults: 1/2 to 1 pouch (10 ml) 4 times a day. Shake/knead the pouch before use. Not recommended for children.

Side effects

• Constipation or diarrhoea.
• Nausea
• dizziness or drowsiness may occur (oxethazaine).
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient or in severe kidney impairment.
• Not recommended for children
• ask a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Separate from other oral medicines (e.g. tetracyclines
• iron) by at least 2 hours.
