Nora Shampoo 2% w/w (50 ml)

Indication

Antifungal shampoo for dandruff, scalp itch and seborrhoeic dermatitis, and for fungal skin infections including pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor) on the scalp and skin.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole 2% w/w

Direction

Apply to wet hair or the affected skin and lather, leave in contact for 3-5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use as directed by a doctor or pharmacist (typically twice weekly).

Side effects

• Local irritation
• itching or a burning sensation of the scalp or skin.
• Dry or oily hair
• changes in hair texture or hair loss may occur.
• Allergic reactions such as rash are rare.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with the eyes
• if contact occurs
• rinse with plenty of water.
• Do not use if allergic to ketoconazole or other azole antifungals.
• If you have been using a topical corticosteroid on the scalp
• ask a doctor how to stop it gradually.
• Ask a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• and stop if no improvement or symptoms worsen.
