Fenoget 200 mg

Indication

Lipid-lowering agent used as an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated triglycerides and LDL cholesterol and to raise HDL cholesterol in hypertriglyceridaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia.

Ingredients

• Fenofibrate BP 200 mg (micronized)

Direction

As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information. Usually one capsule daily taken with a meal.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• nausea
• diarrhoea or flatulence
• Raised liver enzymes
• Rarely muscle pain or weakness
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use with severe liver or kidney disease
• gallbladder disease
• or in pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Report unexplained muscle pain to your doctor
• especially when combined with a statin
