Diaryl 200 mg/5 mL (100 mL)

Indication

Intestinal antibacterial indicated for the treatment of acute bacterial diarrhoea.

Ingredients

• Nifuroxazide 200 mg/5 mL

Direction

Oral route. Shake well before use. Children over 2 years: 5 mL, 3 times per day. Treatment must not exceed 7 days. Maintain adequate fluid intake (oral rehydration).

Side effects

• Allergic reactions such as skin rash
• itching or hives.
• Rarely severe allergic reactions (swelling of face
• breathing difficulty)
• stop and seek medical help.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 2 years or if allergic to nitrofuran derivatives.
• Do not exceed 7 days of treatment
• see a doctor if diarrhoea persists beyond 2 days
• or with fever
• blood in stools or vomiting.
• Rehydration is essential
• especially in young children.
• Follow the prescribed doses.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
