EfferalganMed 500 mg

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever, such as headache, flu-like symptoms, toothache and muscle aches.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg

Direction

Oral use. Dissolve the tablet completely in a glass of water (it may be broken in half first); do not swallow or chew. Adults and children from 50 kg (about 15 years): 1 to 2 tablets per dose, at least 4 hours apart, maximum 6 tablets a day without medical advice. Children 27–49 kg (8–15 years): 1 tablet per dose. Children 13–26 kg (2–7 years): half a tablet per dose; see leaflet.

Side effects

• Rarely skin rash
• itching or allergic reactions
• Very rarely blood disorders (low platelets or white cells)
• Liver damage in case of overdose
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Overdose = danger: too much of this medicine can destroy the liver
• Do not take any other medicine that contains paracetamol
• Use with caution in liver or kidney disease
• chronic alcohol use
• malnutrition or dehydration
• Consult a doctor if pain lasts more than 5 days or fever more than 3 days
• High sodium content
