Efferalgan Codéine 500 mg / 30 mg

Indication

Treatment of moderate to severe acute pain in adults and children over 12 years that is not relieved by paracetamol or ibuprofen alone.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Codeine phosphate 30 mg

Direction

Oral use. Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water before taking. Adults: 1 to 2 tablets per dose, at least 6 hours apart, without exceeding the daily dose stated in the leaflet. Use for the shortest time possible; read the leaflet before use.

Side effects

• Constipation
• nausea
• vomiting
• drowsiness or dizziness (codeine)
• Rarely skin rash or allergic reactions
• Risk of dependence with prolonged use
• Liver damage in case of paracetamol overdose

Precautions

• Overdose = danger: do not take other medicines containing paracetamol or codeine
• Not for children under 12 years
• or during breastfeeding
• May cause drowsiness
• do not drive or drink alcohol
• Contains aspartame (source of phenylalanine) and has a high sodium content
