Cefixime P.P.M 100 mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections: certain urogenital infections, acute otitis and sinusitis, bronchial and pulmonary infections.

Ingredients

• Cefixime (as trihydrate) 100 mg

Direction

Reserved for children over 6 months: usually 8 mg/kg/day divided into 2 doses 12 hours apart, as prescribed. Pour the contents of a sachet into half a glass of water, stir a few seconds and drink immediately. Use regularly at the prescribed doses for the full course advised by the doctor.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• nausea or vomiting.
• Skin rash
• itching or other allergic reactions
• rarely severe colitis.

Precautions

• Do not use in case of allergy to cephalosporins
• use with caution if allergic to penicillins.
