Indication

Short-term management of anxiety disorders and anxiety associated with depression; panic disorder (as prescribed).

Ingredients

• Alprazolam BP 0.5 mg

Direction

Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Usual adult starting dose is 0.25-0.5 mg three times daily, adjusted individually; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time and taper gradually when stopping. See package insert.

• Dependence and withdrawal symptoms with prolonged use

Precautions

• Prescription
• only controlled medicine
• may be habit forming on prolonged use
• Do not combine with alcohol or other CNS depressants or opioids
• do not drive or operate machinery
• Avoid in pregnancy
• breastfeeding
• myasthenia gravis
• severe respiratory insufficiency or sleep apnoea
• do not stop abruptly
