AMOX-MS 500 500mg

Indication

Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 500 mg

Direction

Adults: 500 mg three times daily (every 8 hours) for most infections. Children: dose adjusted by body weight. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• or vomiting.
• Skin rash (can indicate allergy).
• Oral or vaginal candidiasis with prolonged use.
• Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to amoxicillin or any penicillin antibiotic.
• Cross
• sensitivity with cephalosporins possible.
• Use with caution in renal impairment.
• May interact with warfarin and oral contraceptives.
• Complete the full course to prevent antibiotic resistance.
