Ketoconazole + Clobetasol Propionate 10mg + 0.5mg

Indication

This combination of ketoconazole (antifungal) and clobetasol propionate (potent corticosteroid) is used for the topical treatment of inflammatory fungal skin conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, tinea with associated inflammation, and other superficial fungal infections accompanied by significant inflammation.

Ingredients

• Ketoconazole 10 mg
• Clobetasol propionate 0.5 mg

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a physician. Do not apply to the face, groin, or underarms without medical advice. Do not use under occlusive dressings. Duration of treatment should be limited, typically 2–4 weeks.

Side effects

• Secondary infection due to immune suppression.

Precautions

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use on the face

• Clobetasol is a potent corticosteroid

• Do not use in children under 12 years without medical supervision.
