Indication
CIPROLAR-FC Cream is used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections complicated by inflammation, such as infected eczema, impetigo, infected dermatitis, and other bacterial skin infections responsive to ciprofloxacin.
Ingredients
- Ciprofloxacin 0.3%
- Fluocinolone acetonide 0.025% (or similar corticosteroid)
Direction
Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Clean the affected area before applying. Do not use for more than 7–10 days without medical advice.
Side effects
- Burning or stinging at the application site.
- Skin irritation or redness.
- Contact dermatitis.
- Skin superinfection with resistant organisms (with prolonged use).
- Allergic reaction (rare).
Precautions
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
- Not for ophthalmic use unless labeled for eye use.
- Avoid use on large areas of skin.
- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones.
- Prolonged use may lead to bacterial or fungal overgrowth.
- Not recommended in children under 2 years without medical advice.
- Consult a doctor if skin condition worsens.
- Keep out of reach of children.
