AMBES-5 Amlodipine Besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Indication

AMBES-5 is a calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and the prevention of chronic stable angina (chest pain). It helps relax blood vessels and improve blood flow.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily if necessary, as directed by a doctor. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle or foot swelling).
• Headache.
• Flushing.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Nausea.
• Palpitations.
• Abdominal pain.

Precautions

• Do not stop taking this medication without consulting a doctor.
• Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment
• dose adjustment required.
• May cause ankle swelling (oedema)

• Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment.
• Not recommended during pregnancy without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment.
