BIOFLOR 250mg Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 250mg

Indication

BIOFLOR 250 mg is a probiotic used for the treatment and prevention of diarrhoea, including antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, traveller's diarrhoea, and acute diarrhoea in adults and children. It helps restore the intestinal flora.

Ingredients

• Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I
• 745 250 mg per capsule

Direction

Adults: 1–2 capsules (250–500 mg) twice daily. Children over 2 years: 1 capsule (250 mg) twice daily. Take with water. Capsules can be opened and contents mixed with liquid or food for children. Start during antibiotic therapy and continue for 1 week after completion.

Side effects

• Flatulence (excess gas).
• Thirst (rare).
• Fungaemia (very rare
• mainly in severely immunocompromised patients with central venous catheters).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with a central venous catheter (risk of fungal bloodstream infection).
• Use with caution in severely immunocompromised patients.
• Do not take within 2 hours of antifungal medicines.
• Keep capsules away from hot beverages.
• Consult a doctor if diarrhoea persists for more than 48 hours or is accompanied by high fever.
• Keep out of reach of children.
