Indication
Used to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain.
Ingredients
- Celecoxib 200 mg
Direction
Adults (osteoarthritis): 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily. Adults (acute pain): 400 mg initially, then 200 mg as needed; maximum 400 mg/day. Take with food to reduce GI upset.
Side effects
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Headache
- Edema
- Hypertension
- Increased liver enzymes (rare)
- Serious cardiovascular events (rare)
Precautions
- Contraindicated in sulfonamide allergy
- aspirin
- sensitive asthma
- and peri
- operative pain in CABG surgery.
- Increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events β avoid in patients with established cardiovascular disease if possible.
- Increased risk of serious GI adverse events including bleeding and ulceration.
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
- Contraindicated in severe hepatic impairment and renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min).
- May interact with warfarin

- ACE inhibitors
- diuretics.
