CELECOXIB SELECAP-200 200 mg

Indication

Used to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain.

Ingredients

• Celecoxib 200 mg

Direction

Adults (osteoarthritis): 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily. Adults (acute pain): 400 mg initially, then 200 mg as needed; maximum 400 mg/day. Take with food to reduce GI upset.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Headache
• Edema
• Hypertension
• Increased liver enzymes (rare)
• Serious cardiovascular events (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in sulfonamide allergy
• aspirin
• sensitive asthma
• and peri
• operative pain in CABG surgery.
• Increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events — avoid in patients with established cardiovascular disease if possible.
• Increased risk of serious GI adverse events including bleeding and ulceration.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• Contraindicated in severe hepatic impairment and renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min).
• May interact with warfarin
