ETOM-90 (Etoricoxib) 90 mg

Indication

Used for the relief of symptoms in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, and acute pain.

Ingredients

• Etoricoxib 90 mg

Direction

Adults (acute gout): 120 mg once daily (max 8 days). Adults (osteoarthritis): 30–60 mg once daily. Adults (rheumatoid/ankylosing): 60–90 mg once daily. Take with or without food.

Side effects

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Hypertension
• Edema
• Abdominal pain / nausea
• Elevated liver enzymes
• Serious cardiovascular events (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in established ischemic heart disease
• peripheral arterial disease
• cerebrovascular disease
• uncontrolled hypertension.
• Contraindicated in severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• Increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events and serious GI events.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• May interact with warfarin
• lithium
• methotrexate
• rifampicin
• oral contraceptives.
