Celco (Celecoxib) 200 mg

Indication

Used to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute pain.

Ingredients

• Celecoxib 200 mg

Direction

Adults (osteoarthritis): 200 mg once daily or 100 mg twice daily. Adults (acute pain): 400 mg initially, then 200 mg as needed. Take with food.

Side effects

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Headache
• Edema
• Hypertension
• Increased liver enzymes (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in sulfonamide allergy
• aspirin
• sensitive asthma.
• Increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events.
• Increased risk of serious GI adverse events including bleeding and ulceration.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• Contraindicated in severe hepatic impairment
• caution in renal impairment.
• May interact with warfarin
• lithium
• ACE inhibitors
• diuretics.
