Spasfon 80mg

Indication

Spasfon (phloroglucinol) is an antispasmodic agent used to relieve smooth muscle spasms associated with gastrointestinal, urinary, and gynaecological pain (e.g. dysmenorrhoea, renal colic, irritable bowel syndrome).

Ingredients

• Phloroglucinol 80 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets (80–160 mg) up to 3 times daily. Swallow whole with water. Follow the prescriber's instructions.

Side effects

• Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash
• urticaria) — rare.
• Generally well tolerated at recommended doses.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to phloroglucinol.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
