Estimol Paracetamol Infusion 1%

Indication

Estimol (paracetamol infusion 1%) is used for the short-term treatment of moderate pain and fever, especially in hospital settings where oral or rectal administration is not possible.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 10 mg/mL (1%) intravenous infusion

Direction

Adults and adolescents over 33 kg: 1 g (100 mL) every 4–6 hours; maximum 4 g per 24 hours. Infuse over 15 minutes. Administer under medical supervision only.

Side effects

• Hypotension
• nausea — uncommon.
• Allergic reactions (urticaria
• angioedema) — rare.
• Hepatic necrosis in overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose (4 g/day in adults).
• Use with extreme caution in patients with hepatic impairment
• alcoholism
• or malnutrition.
• Do not use concurrently with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• For hospital/clinical use only — not for self
• administration.
• Keep out of reach of children.
