Coversyl Plus Perindopril/Indapamide 5mg/1.25mg

Indication

Coversyl Plus is a combination antihypertensive. Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor, and indapamide is a thiazide-like diuretic. Together they are used to treat hypertension when monotherapy is insufficient.

Ingredients

• Perindopril arginine 5 mg
• Indapamide 1.25 mg

Direction

Adults: One tablet once daily, preferably in the morning before a meal. Dose is adjusted by a physician.

Side effects

• Dry cough (ACE inhibitor effect) — common.
• Dizziness
• headache — common.
• Hypokalaemia (low potassium) — uncommon.
• Angioedema — rare but potentially life
• threatening.
• Renal impairment — monitor regularly.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy — must not be used at any stage of pregnancy.
• Contraindicated with history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitors.
• Contraindicated with aliskiren in diabetic patients.
• Monitor renal function
