Mucobrox Ambroxol 30mg

Indication

Mucobrox (ambroxol) is a mucolytic agent used to treat respiratory conditions associated with excessive or viscous mucus, including acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma, and COPD.

Ingredients

• Ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg

Direction

Adults: 30 mg (1 tablet) three times daily for the first 2–3 days, then 30 mg twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 15 mg two to three times daily. Take with food.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting — uncommon.
• Dry mouth
• diarrhoea — uncommon.
• Allergic reactions — rare.
• Stevens
• Johnson syndrome — very rare.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease.
• Avoid in the first trimester of pregnancy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist more than 7 days.
