Flexosone Fluticasone 50mcg

Indication

Flexosone (fluticasone propionate nasal spray) is an intranasal corticosteroid used to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, and nasal polyps.

Ingredients

• Fluticasone propionate 50 mcg per actuation

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 2 sprays into each nostril once daily (200 mcg total). Children 4–11 years: 1 spray into each nostril once daily. Shake well before use. Follow the prescriber's instructions.

Side effects

• Epistaxis (nosebleed) — very common.
• Nasal dryness
• irritation — common.
• Headache — common.
• Nasal septum perforation — rare with long
• term use.
• Systemic effects (adrenal suppression
• cataract) — rare.

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with active nasal infections.
• Not recommended for children under 4 years.
• May cause growth retardation in children with long
• term use — use at lowest effective dose.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
