Airflx-O Cefixime 100mg

Indication

Airflx-O (cefixime) is a third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Cefixime 100 mg

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 200–400 mg daily as a single dose or in two divided doses. Children: 8 mg/kg/day. Take for the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• abdominal pain — common.
• Skin rash — uncommon.
• Allergic reactions — rare.
• Pseudomembranous colitis — rare.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cephalosporins or penicillins.
• Use with caution in renal impairment.
• May cause false
• positive urine glucose tests.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Complete the full course of treatment.
