Indication

Gedelix (ivy leaf extract syrup) is a herbal expectorant and antispasmodic used to relieve productive cough and bronchial spasms in acute and chronic bronchitis and upper respiratory tract infections.

Ingredients

• Ivy leaf dry extract (Hedera helix) 35 mg per 5 mL

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 5 mL (35 mg) three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL twice daily. Children 2–6 years: 2.5 mL three times daily. Shake before use. Take with water.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea — uncommon.
• Allergic reactions (skin rash) — rare.

Precautions

• Contains small amounts of alcohol — consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or if abstaining from alcohol.
• Do not use if allergic to ivy or other Araliaceae plants.
• Consult a doctor if cough persists more than 7 days or is accompanied by fever.
• Keep out of reach of children.
