Newlanta Antacid

Indication

Newlanta is an antacid used to relieve symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion, upset stomach, and bloating associated with excess stomach acid.

Ingredients

• Aluminium hydroxide 200 mg
• Magnesium hydroxide 200 mg
• Simethicone 25 mg

Direction

Adults: Take 1–2 tablets or 10–20 ml suspension 20–60 minutes after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing. Do not exceed the maximum recommended dose.

Side effects

• Constipation (aluminium component).
• Diarrhoea (magnesium component).
• Nausea.
• Chalky taste.

Precautions

• Do not use for more than 2 weeks without consulting a physician.
• Patients with kidney disease should use with caution
• magnesium and aluminium can accumulate.
• May interfere with absorption of other medications
• take other drugs at least 2 hours before or after.
• Avoid in patients with phosphate depletion syndromes.
• Keep out of reach of children.
