Risek 20 Omeprazole 20mg

Indication

Risek 20 is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), duodenal and gastric ulcers, and as part of combination regimens for Helicobacter pylori eradication.

Ingredients

• Omeprazole 20 mg

Direction

Adults: Swallow one capsule (20 mg) once daily before a meal. Duration of treatment depends on the condition being treated (usually 4–8 weeks for ulcers, as directed by a physician).

Side effects

• Headache.
• Nausea
• vomiting
• or diarrhoea.
• Abdominal pain.
• Flatulence.
• Dizziness.
• Rash (rare).

Precautions

• Long
• term use may increase risk of bone fractures and vitamin B12/magnesium deficiency.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• May reduce efficacy of clopidogrel
• avoid co
• administration where possible.
• May interfere with absorption of ketoconazole
• itraconazole
• iron salts.
• Keep out of reach of children.
