Indication

Vitamine C 500 is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), and as a dietary supplement to support immune function, wound healing, and antioxidant protection.

Ingredients

• Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) 500 mg

Direction

Adults: Take 1 tablet or sachet (500 mg) once daily, or as directed by a physician. Dissolve effervescent forms in water before taking.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea
• diarrhoea) at high doses.
• Kidney stones with chronic high
• dose use.
• Headache.

Precautions

• High doses (>2 g/day) may cause kidney stones in predisposed individuals.
• May increase iron absorption
• caution in haemochromatosis.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• May interfere with blood and urine glucose tests.
• Keep out of reach of children.
