Indication
Vitamine C 500 is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), and as a dietary supplement to support immune function, wound healing, and antioxidant protection.
Ingredients
- Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) 500 mg
Direction
Adults: Take 1 tablet or sachet (500 mg) once daily, or as directed by a physician. Dissolve effervescent forms in water before taking.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea
- diarrhoea) at high doses.
- Kidney stones with chronic high
- dose use.
- Headache.
Precautions
- High doses (>2 g/day) may cause kidney stones in predisposed individuals.
- May increase iron absorption
- caution in haemochromatosis.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- May interfere with blood and urine glucose tests.
- Keep out of reach of children.
